What is the Recycling Sector?
In recent years, the rapid depletion of natural resources, ecological imbalance, climate issues, and more have prompted companies to take action. Necessary work has been done for everything that can be recycled, such as paper, plastic, or metal, with an understanding that does not allow the extinction of natural resources. In this sense, there are many companies in the sector. The recycling sector not only produces reusable products but has also established systems that generate energy with these products. Significant investments have been made in recent years, and the sector continues to grow at full speed.

Current Status of the Recycling Sector in Turkey and Worldwide
According to last year's data released in Turkey, 1.1 million tons of plastic waste have been recycled. By consuming less energy both globally and in Turkey, recycling a previously produced product economically supports sustainable development. According to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, Turkey's recycling rate is only %12.
Leading Companies in the Recycling Sector
Many applications abroad are available to accelerate recycling. These include urban furniture made from plastic waste, furniture made from recycled coffee cups, or new cups made from the peels accumulated in orange juice vending machines. Although our recycling rate as a country is somewhat low, in recent years, the world has also taken swift actions in this regard, leading us to take action as well. Our work on Europe's largest solar power plant in Konya is continuing at full speed.
